isaigod.com is a place to think out loud about an absurd-but-serious question. It works best when it knows as little about you as possible, so we built it that way. You can read, vote, take the tests, and join the debate without an account and without telling us who you are.

The short version

  • No accounts. You can use almost everything anonymously.
  • Your votes and answers are stored as anonymous running totals — we count submissions, not people.
  • We only ask for an email if you choose to “join the Faithful,” and it goes straight to our newsletter provider — never into a database we run, never into a URL, never up for sale.
  • No tracking cookies, no ad networks, no cross-site profiles.

What we collect

Your email — only if you give it. The single place we ask for an email is the “join the Faithful” form. We use it to send the newsletter and to mark your place among the Faithful, nothing else. It is stored by our newsletter provider (Beehiiv), not in any database we operate, and we never put it in a link or sell it. Your member number is just a counter — it is not tied back to your email.

Anonymous participation. When you vote, take the Dependency Test, answer the Census, or weigh in on the Forum, we add your answer to a shared, anonymous tally. We store the totals, not a record that links any answer to you. There is no login, no profile, and nothing to trace a submission back to a person.

Approximate country. To show “sentiment around the world,” we read a coarse, two-letter country code that our hosting layer derives at the edge, and add it to a per-country tally. We do not store your IP address and nothing here identifies you. It is approximate — VPNs and proxies skew it, and we say so in the UI.

Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages get traffic. It is aggregate and cookieless: no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, no personal profiles.

On your own device. If you join, we save your member number in your browser's local storage so the site doesn't keep asking you to join on that device. It stays on your device and you can clear it any time through your browser.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
  • We don't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We don't build personal profiles or run behavioral ad targeting.
  • We don't put your email address in any URL or share link.

Who we rely on

We use a small number of well-known providers to run the site, and your data is handled under their own privacy practices:

  • Vercel — hosting, the edge country signal, and privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Beehiiv — stores newsletter email addresses and sends the newsletter.
  • AI & news providers — the daily Godhood Index and the news strip are generated with help from third-party AI and news services. We send them public site data, not anything about you.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
  • Clear your browser's local storage to remove your saved member number.
  • Email us at contact@isaigod.com with any question about your data, and we'll do our best to help. Because participation is anonymous, we generally can't locate an individual vote or answer to change or remove it.

Children

isaigod.com is meant for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If our practices change, we'll update this page and move the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
